Tom Kando
It’s been a stressful period. Most people would probably agree. My desire is that we can resume our lives and return to some degree of normalcy and harmony. Let us also continue to hope for the best, for America and for the world.
For now, I present this brief anecdote, in an attempt to provide some levity and some entertainment. This experience did truly happen:
I recently had an experience which curiously seemed to be a case of time travel..I dreamed something which happened later. This happened a few weeks ago:
One morning, when I got up at my usual time, I could remember a few details of a dream I had just had that night: I had dreamed about Tom Jones, the famous Welsh sixties popular singer. I only remembered one thing about this dream: Tom Jones was singing his famous 1965 song “It’s not unusual”
(It's not unusual to be loved by anyone
It's not unusual to have fun with anyone
But when I see you hanging about with anyone
It's not unusual to see me cry
I wanna die
Etc.)
I hummed it for while and got on with my daily life.
Now here comes the mystery:
On the evening of that same day, some fourteen hours later, my wife and I were doing our usual after-dinner TV hour. Sometimes we like to watch reruns of old classic shows such as the Honeymooners or the Ed Sullivan show.
And guess what happened: Here comes Ed Sullivan on our TV screen, and he introduces Tom Jones, who then starts crooning “It’s not Unusual to be loved by Anyone.”
Coincidence? Of course. I am a rational person, I have never believed in mysticism or the supernatural of any sort. But how could I dream about something which I saw fourteen hours later?
It would be so much fun to believe that I had somehow experienced a “timeskip.” That I had anticipated in my dream the exact singer and song I saw on TV fourteen hours later.
There was no way that I could have known those things in advance. I had not seen any articles or TV programs or heard even the remotest mention of this Ed Sullivan rerun, or Tom Jones, or that particular song... weird, don’t you think?

I agree; it's weird
You made me laugh. Thanks Tom
I'm so glad you shared this experience, and I find it deeply comforting, with all the connections through time and space and music. Life and reality truly are deeply mysterious, and I find comfort in that.
Pretty funny, Tom! I hope you don't lose too much sleep over-thinking this because it's unlikely you'll come up with a satisfactory explanation.
So glad you had that unusual paranormal type experience! Thank you for your blog. June Gillam
It is refreshing to have such an authentic experience! There is so much to learn, and I was thinking about Galileo and Copernicus stating that the earth was round and not flat-I hope that there are more metaphysical laws that we could learn and more insights like yours to gain wisdom! I hope that we learn more about how the metaphysical world works, and I’m also enthusiastic about the compassionate part that we have worked so hard to build which centers on the building a culture of compassion and civility. I am glad that your experiences are refreshing and uplifting and leaves room for growth and creativity. Thanks Dr. Kando! From Gail :-)
Einstein said "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous." Most of my dreams are about what is going to happen the next day. So, it's not weird to me. Dreams are very relevant.
I notice that, my dreams usually highlight some event that will happen the next day in some symbolic way. If my dream had not highlighted that moment, I would have been unaware of its importance. And coincidence, Einstein said "Coincidence is God's way or remaining anonymous."
